Hungtram Khen Rinpoche was born in 1982 into the historic family of Hungtram Labrang Lineage, in the hidden and remote village called Sheri, which is located high up in the Himalayan Mountains in Mukot, Upper Dolpo region, Nepal.
堪布弘川仁波切，于1982年，生于历史悠久的弘川拉穰家族，出生地是喜马拉雅山南麓的一个隐秘而遥远的山村，名为希日，位于当今的尼泊尔木科上多波区。
He began to accompany his late great-grandfather and late grandfather on their retreats when he was only four years old and received his inceptive education as a small boy from both grandfathers.
当他四岁的时候，起初的教育是在曾祖父与祖父身边学习，并陪伴着祖父闭关。
At the age of nine, he accompanied his elder brother Ven Sey Namkha Dorje to Kathmandu where he attended the Shree Mangal Div Boarding High School. However, the young boy wasn’t contented with only receiving conventional education and insistently expressed his wish to study in a monastic institute and become a Lama.
九岁的时候，他随同大哥瑟南卡多杰到加德满都，那时他进入了师利曼高帝寄宿学校。当时他并不满足当时所接受的世俗教育，萌生了出家到寺院修行佛法的念头。
Consequently, the late Kushok Tsechu Rinpoche, Lama Dawa Choedark and his maternal uncle took him to see H.H. Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche. H.H. made a divination and advised that the young boy should be sent to the Shechen Monastery within one week. With great joy, the young boy began his studies at the Shechen Monastery.
因此，古修泽珠仁波切，喇嘛达瓦秋达与舅舅将他引荐至顶果钦哲法王面前，法王通过打卦占卜建议年轻的弘川仁波切应该在一周内抵达雪谦寺。在充满的法喜中，年轻的仁波切开始了他在雪谦寺的修学。
in rites and rituals in the Shechen Monastery in 1996. Later that year he enrolled in the disciplines had spiritually nurtured him with great care. He completed his primary and secondary monastic education and traditional H.H. Shechen Rabjam RinpocheDuring his studies at the Shechen Monastery, Shechen Philosophical College for Higher Buddhist Studies where he studied Advanced Buddhist Philosophy in Sutrayana and Tantrayana Buddhism, and the Internal and External Sciences known in the Buddhist Tradition.
1996年在雪谦寺，他正式受戒成为僧人，并在雪谦冉江法王座下完成了佛教前行与正行的修学。在雪谦寺哲学院完成了高级佛教哲学包括显宗密宗的课程，并完成了佛教内明与因明学两大学科。
He did exceptionally well in all his studies and had always achieved the first position and first division marks. Due to his academic excellence, he was appointed as a teacher when he was still a student. Initially, he taught at the Shechen Monastic Shedra as the Junior Lecturer (Kyorpon) for four years and then as the Senior Lecturer at the Shechen Shedra for several years. He also served as the Nepalese Buddhist Master to teach Nepalese Buddhist Communities and various Nepalese-speaking societies in both Nepal and Northern India.
在学习过程中表现出不可思议的智慧，时常取得最好的成绩。因为学术能力突出，虽然他还是学者的时候，已经被指定作为其他僧人的老师。
He graduated with distinction from the Shechen Philosophical College and received the “Holder of Definitive Teachings” (equivalent to an MA degree) from H.H. Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche and also achieved the title of Khenpo (the highest scholar degree as equivalent to a PhD professor) from the Shechen Monastic University.
他以杰出的成绩完成了雪谦寺哲学院的修学，雪谦冉江法王授予了他佛法导师资格，并从雪谦寺获得堪布（佛教博士）学位。
H.H. Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, H.H. Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche, H.H. Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche, H.H. Drupwang Penor Rinpoche, H.H. Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche, H.H. Mindroling Trichen Rinpoche, H.H. Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche, His Holiness Kyabje Yangthang Rinpoche, H.H. has received a wide range of Buddhist Teachings from many great Masters namely Palyul Lhatrul Garwang Nyima Rinpoche and H.H. the Dalai Lama.
传承上师：顶果钦哲法王，楚西法王，雪谦冉江法王，贝诺法王，达隆哲珠法王，敏珠林法王，宗萨钦哲仁波切，多芒扬搪仁波切 等。
He also serves as the Nepalese Translator to numerous great Masters including H.H. the Dalai Lama, H.H. Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche, H.H. Drupwang Penor Rinpoche and H.H. Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche on many special occasions.
他还曾担任许多高僧大德重要传法中的尼泊尔语翻译，包括观音上师，楚西法王，贝诺法王，雪谦冉江法王。
In 2007, the UK Ministry of Defense officially appointed him as the Buddhist Religious Leader for the British Army Force.
2007年，英国国防部官方指定堪布弘川仁波切为英国陆军部队的佛教领袖。
H.H. Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche was delighted on hearing this news and said: “It’s a historic achievement. You may be predestined to serve in the fields. As an auspicious symbol, I am giving you this blessed statue of Green Tara. May your activities flourish”.
楚西法王为此事感到无比欢喜并说到： 这是一个富有历史意义的成就，你可能是注定要在战场上奉献你的力量，如此殊胜的缘起，我现在给予你绿度母灌顶加持，愿你所行事业无碍！
In 2010, he visited Afghanistan and played a vital role in promoting mutual understanding and harmony within the multi-faith society and made special Aspiration Prayers for World Peace. As recognition of his invaluable contribution His Royal Highness Prince Charles, Prince of Wales, greeted him with the Appreciation Medal in both 2011.
2010年，他身赴阿富汗战场，对多宗教社会中的宽容谅解起到了积极的推动作用并诵经祈祷世界和平。2011年，查理斯王子，威尔士王子授予荣誉勋章以表示对他做出的贡献表示赞叹。
Hungtram Khen Rinpoche has helped to establish the Buddhist Community Centre UK (BCCUK), the first Buddhist Monastery for particularly Nepalese Buddhist followers, and all the Buddhists practitioners. Rinpoche has since then been the Buddhist Spiritual Director for BCCUK.
堪布弘川仁波切帮助成立了英国佛教协会（BCCUK），建立了第一个由尼泊尔佛教徒与修行人为主体的佛教寺院，就此担任BCCUK佛教精神导师。
Recently, Hungtram Khen Rinpoche has founded Gakar Foundation UK in order to promote awareness and the needs of Dolpo children’s education and healthcare. He works tirelessly and selflessly with all his efforts to preserve and promote Buddha dharma for harmony and peace. He offers the best he can to benefit all sentient beings.
最近几年，堪布弘川仁波切为了帮助尼泊尔多波山区的孩子们提供教育与医疗，在英国建立了尕卡基金。他不辞辛苦的工作与无私的奉献给世界和平将佛法在英国弘扬，尽己所能的利乐一切有情众生！
